Conversion is a matter of selling your products and services. Actually, it’s a mathematical matter involving the number of sales or successes you generate divided by the number of attempts you make. In other words, for every one hundred visitors to your site, how many sales are generated. If you generate 100 visitors and sell 5 products, you would have a 5% conversion rate. If you sell 25 products you would have a 25% conversion rate.

Every little thing you do effects your conversion rate. The design of your site, your adcopy or sales copy, how simple your shopping cart is, site navigation, customer support and so on.
